Simon Jackson spends most of his time in the woodlands behind his house - he talks to squirrels, photographs wildlife and reads all he can, especially about bears he loves so much. One day Simon learns about a rare type of black bear called the spirit bear. He learns that loggers are cutting down trees in the Great Bear Rainforest, the spirit bears' only home.
